Episcopal 101
Sundays at 12:15 - 1:30 pm
Episcopal 101 is a class designed to be an introduction to the Episcopal Church, meant for those who are interested in the Rite of Confirmation or formal Reception into the Episcopal Church, and for those who just want to learn more about the Episcopal Church and why we do the things we do. Our most recent class preceded the confirmation of three of our young people on May 13, 2018.
Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School will be held before Holy Eucharist beginning September through November 2018, using the book, Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs and Practices by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. All adults are invited to this class, and it will also serve as preparation for anyone seeking Confirmation or Reception into the Episcopal Church during Bishop Skirving’s next scheduled visit to Church of the Advent on December 2, 2018.
Monthly Wednesday Nights
Every second Wednesday of each month we meet for Evening Prayer at 6pm, followed by dinner (pot luck or out at a local restaurant) and a discussion group. June 13 and July 11 we will be discussion The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis.
Beginning August 15 through November 14, Rev. Ellen will offer a series on Contemplative Spirituality.
